At this Coaching & Teambuilding, engage your team in challenging activities linked to DISC. The DISC model is a proven method by which teams learn to work better together. During the group activities, participants gain insight into each other’s behavioral styles. They learn to better understand and appreciate each other, and gain new skills they can use in the workplace.

How do we get started?

We schedule a short intake with the manager beforehand. We discuss what is going on in the team, what still needs to be worked on and together we determine the pillars for this day. In consultation we look at specific pillars, such as:

  • Motivating each other
  • Who takes the lead
  • Who is the quiet mouse of the group, and what is his/her great value?
  • Who will flourish when given more space
  • How decisions are made
  • Who monitors the process

Let the games begin!

The group will work in two teams on fun games. We choose expedition games that suit the group, provide fun and where cooperation is very important. Within each team, two observers are assigned. They are given pillars to watch out for during the first three games, while of course also participating in the game.

After three games a short evaluation is held with the whole group, during which the observers and coach evaluate the pillars. Then two new observers are assigned and games resume. The first pillars are still included, but new pillars are added. The observers and coach monitor what role each team member assumes within the group and during the various game assignments. Sometimes team members are held up to a mirror, other times participants who need it get the chance to come forward better. And always this day will bring the team closer together.

At the end of the games, a brief evaluation is held with the team and then with the manager.

What is the DISC method?

The coaching during this day is in a played way based on the DISC model. This is a behavioral analysis that helps people better understand their own behavior and that of others. It divides personality into four main types: Dominant (D), Influential (I), Stable (S) and Conscientious (C). Dominant people tend to be results-oriented and direct, influential people are sociable and persuasive, stable people are calm and supportive, and conscientious people are analytical and precise. Each team member has a unique blend of these behavioral styles, which makes for a wide range of perspectives and approaches. By recognizing and appreciating these differences, teams can improve their individual effectiveness and strengthen collaboration.

The team building is carried out at your own location, on the beach or in a park; in any case at a unique location ideal for a successful coaching day for the whole team. Of course, our partner locations are very suitable for this.
